Notice of Race
1. ORGANIZING AUTHORITY: US SAILING
2. RULES: The Regatta will be governed by the 2001-2004 Racing Rules of Sailing, the Yngling Class Rules including the Maximum Weight Rule for Womens Teams, this Notice of Race, except as any of these are altered by the Sailing Instructions, and the Sailing Instructions.
3: ELIGIBILITY: Open to Yngling Class Members including Men, Women and Mixed teams. USA participants shall be current members of US SAILING.
4: REGISTRATION: Advance registration is not required.
5. REGATTA FEE: $200 USD. Payment shall be in US Dollars in the form of cash, traveler’s checks, or checks drawn on a US bank. Entry fee is non refundable. Checks should be made payable to US SAILING.
6. VENUE: Racing will occur in the Atlantic Ocean just outside the Lake Worth/Palm Beach Inlet. Racing may occur on an inside course set in Lake Worth if conditions are extreme.
7. FACILITIES: Launching and mooring will be at Rybovich Spencer Marina. This is a commercial marina/boat yard and not a yacht club. Offsite parking may be required.
8. ADVERTISING: Category C in accordance with RRS Appendix 1, ISAF Regulation 20.
9. SCORING: The Low Point Scoring System of RRS Appendix A shall apply. There are seven races scheduled, of which three shall be completed to constitute a series.
10. PRIZES: Prizes may be awarded to the top three boats.
11. LAUNCHING AND HAUL OUT: Boats may only be launched during the designated periods on Wednesday, 15 January and Friday, 17 January. Boats may only be hauled out on Friday, 17 January and Monday, 20 January. Launching and haul out outside of these designated times requires the permission of the organizing authority and will incur an additional fee.
12. TRAINING AT THE VENUE: Training from the venue outside of the period 15-20 January is strongly discouraged, and will incur additional fees. Informal group training will occur 15-17 January and all competitors are invited to participate.
