Alpena skipper, Scott Mitchell wins the North American Youth Yngling Championship
Scott Mitchell, Joe Jacquemin, and Ben Gartner were the recipients of the Alpena Cup, the North American Championship Youth Trophy. They were 9th place out of the entire North American Championship in Minnetonka this summer. AlpenaThe Alpena Youth Sailing Club is launching its racing team during the 2009 sailing season, sailing Ynglings in the Thunder Bay of Lake Huron. Approximately 30 youth will learn to race Ynglings Tuesday evenings and will be integrated into the Alpena fleet weekly races. |
